A native of Charleston, SC and daughter of musicians, singer/songwriter Rae Thomas grew up surrounded by music and singing in church from an early age. By age 12 she was writing original material and soon realized music was her passion and calling. She went on to receive a vocal scholarship from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating in 2011 with a degree in Professional Music. Rae spent several years performing and traveling in the New England area where she developed her captivating “sunny acoustic soul” sound. Soon after graduating God led her and her husband to join a small church congregation where she began leading worship and her heart was reignited with the a passion for worship. In 2013 God led her and husband/producer Kwesi “Kue” Thomas to Paramount, California where they are worship leaders and choir directors at Emmanuel Church. Rae and Kue are also currently the directors of the thriving Mid-Cities Youth Choir- an energetic, talented and diverse group of 4th – 8th graders dedicated to spreading a message of love and hope to the people of the greater Los Angeles area. Rae shares her heart and warm, joyous personality through her powerful, soaring voice and delicate falsetto, drawing listeners in and causing their spirits to soar.  There is nothing Rae loves more than the presence of God and she is grateful that she has the honor of leading others in praise and helping to create a space where they can encounter His presence in worship.  Her desire is to see people encounter the intimate yet powerful reality of God’s love for them and experience the fullness of joy that is found only in His presence.
